Things to Do

Welcome to Philly!

Philadelphia is a city of neighborhoods, each with its own unique character, attractions, and delicious food! We hope everyone can explore the city during our wedding weekend. Here are some of our favorite spots!

Old City

All of the downtown wedding activities are in this section of the city. Walk down the cobblestone streets and experience history on every corner!

Food: award winning dinner at Zahav, tapas at Amada, sushi at Tuna Bar, and ice cream at Franklin Fountain

Attractions: Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, Constitution Center, Betsy Ross House, Elfreth's Alley

Rittenhouse

We live in this neighborhood! Rittenhouse is a 30 minute walk or quick uber ride from the wedding hotels. It's full of amazing restaurants, green space, shopping, and top notch people watching.

Food: coffee at Vibrant, brunch at K'Far or Parc, Belgian beers at Monk's, falafel and tehina milkshakes at Goldie, Korean fusion at Southgate, and ice cream at 1-900

Attractions: Rittenhouse Square Park, Mutter Museum, Helium Comedy Club, lots of shopping

Fairmount

Take an Uber over to the "Art Museum Area" and you may see a line of people waiting to snap a photo with the famous "Rocky" statue! We love taking leisurely walks down the Schuylkill River trail and grabbing a bite in this neighborhood.

Food: brunch at Sabrina's Cafe, beers at The Bishop's Collar, tacos at Buena Onda, Pizzeria Vetri

Attractions: Philadelphia Museum of Art, Rocky Steps, Franklin Institute, Rodin Museum, Barnes Foundation, Philadelphia Zoo, Schuylkill River Trail, Fairmount Park

Midtown Village / Washington Square West

Known to most as simply "Center City", this vibrant area is home to amazing restaurants and nightlife. This neighborhood is a 15 minute walk from the wedding hotels.

Food: Reading Terminal Market, Sampan, sandwiches at Middle Child, cocktails at Charlie was a Sinner, rooftop drinks at Attico, beers at McGillan's

Attractions: Magic Gardens, Washington Square Park, Jeweler's Row

South Philly

We lived here during medical school! Take an Uber ride or 30 minute walk to the true heart and soul of Philadelphia. South Philly is home to some of the best Italian, Mexican, and Vietnamese food in the city.

Food: awarding winning tacos at South Philly Barbacoa, pizza at Santucci's, Mexican/Honduran food at Tamalex, Pho 75, pasta at Fiorella, rooftop drinks at Bok Bar

Things to Do: Stroll the Italian Market, visit the Mummer Museum, walk down Passyunk Ave, take a picture at the famous Pat's and Geno's (but don't be a tourist, skip their cheesesteaks and head to Angelo's for a truly delicious version of this Philly icon!)

Fishtown / Northern Liberties

Take Uber ride or SEPTA (public transportation) to these neighborhoods full of hipsters and creatives.

Food: coffee at La Colombe, brunch at Suraya, barbecue at Fette Sau, dinner at Laser Wolf, pizza at Pizzeria Beddia, beers at Frankford Hall

Things to Do: brewery tour at Yards, catch a concert at Kung Fu Necktie, browse endless thrift stores, play a game at Barcade
